I saw a clamshell quilt pattern a teacher had made and it didn't look easy to me.lol No I don't have one. But I'm a fairly new quilter.

Found this one. It doesn't have the typical clam shell template. The clam shell is actually made with 4 pieces. . .. Interesting technique.

If you like English paper piecing, clamshells are easy using this technique.

Like Peckish, I would never have thought of doing it that way, either. It's very interesting. I think it would be difficult to keep the fabric colors in the right blocks/places.

Did you mean the quilt pattern as all the wonderful links? I had thought you were meaning how to mark a clam shell pattern to quilt on a top,
