I'm stumped. I am so in love with these fabrics and bought a bunch to make a quilt for myself. http://www.babybedding.com/eden-collection-fabric

But the pattern is so large that you lose the beauty of the prints in small HSTs or small squares. I'd like to find an interesting modern quilt pattern for this. I've searched, literally, for months.

Help!! I could really use some ideas.

Warm wishes or just a fussy cut block of the bigger print inbetween a nine patch of the smaller prints.

I just mentioned large prints on another thread! :) I'm currently working on a D9P with four small-scale prints and one large-scale. It's turning out really well; I kept the large print in the corner of the initial 9P, so it won't get subdivided.

I was looking at the Pottery Barn kids catalog where I babysit. There are some very cute and hip looking quilts made out of BIG squares. I am talking 10 or 12 inches. That is very much the trend now.

I did the same thing. I ordered fabric online of the most beautiful fabric, I just had to have. There was no size shown. The flower didn't look that big in the picture. When I got it the flower, one little flower, was 6 inches square. I need a big block pattern also.

That's a great pattern, I'm glad you provided the link. I printed it off.

One of the quilting magazines had a pattern a year or so ago made with an Eden layer cake. I loved that quilt and always wanted to buy a layer cake package, but never came across one in my travels. I'll look thru my magazines and find the pattern...stay tuned :).

The pattern that uses Eden that I liked is "Mom's Bouquet"; it's on pg. 62 in McCall's Quick Quilts, May, 2010

I still like it; guess I'll have to renew my search for a layer cake.
