Default Elm Creek book series

I'd like to get back to reading and I thought I'd try the Elm Creek series. If you've read, or are reading the series, do I have to start at #1?

I think you should start at one...they follow each other and I would lose track of diff people and such if I read them out of order.

Many libraries carried these a few years back, so if you don't want to invest in that many books, check out your local library first. I really enjoyed her first books....but as the "series" went on... the continuity glitched and the excitement just kind of glazed over. I'm sure many people will disagree.... which is good... that's what sells books!

I, too, agree to start with #1 so you can "meet" the main characters. I've thoroughly enjoyed the series and hope there will be more to come. Yes, some were better than others, but overall, well written.

Each book does a nice job of giving you background info on the characters but, I agree with everyone else...you will enjoy the series so much more if you begin with book #1.
