After machine embroidering a design, do you take off all the stabilizer from the back or do you just cut around the design?
Can you tell I'm new at this? Just got my machine and I'm having so much fun!!

it depends on the type stabilizer you used, some you tear, some you cut, some you wash away

I'm using the tear away. But I'm not sure if I should tear away all of it or just cut around the pattern. Should I go inbetween all the detail on the back?

I tear all of the stabilizer off if it's 'tear away'. If there is stabilizer in very small areas it should wash out.

I use tweazers to get to small bit out.

I usually leave it on IF it covers the whole size when I cut the block out. Gives it more supporrt. IF its a light fabric and the stablizer doesn't cover I carefully cut mine off. If you don't it leaves a shadow. Its so much fun.

Cute bluework quilt.....I did a redwork snowman quilt and then did one in blue.....I love to watch on machine embroidery the snowman come to life.
