Default enlarging an on point quilt

I found a quilt pattern that I want to enlarge. It's an on point layout and my question is if I add more blocks, does it change the size of the triangle setting pieces? I know I will need more triangles and can figure the yardage but I'm wondering if adding blocks will change the size of the triangles. I'm guessing that it won't but would like an opinion from someone a lot more experienced.

If you are referring to the setting triangles, no the size of the block will not change and neither will the size of the triangles change. You will need to calculate for the additional number of setting triangles you will need. Good Luck.

adding block would not change the size but if you changed the size of the blocks you would have to change the size of the setting triangles

Think of it this way: if you pulled the pattern apart in the middle and added the blocks there, the outside wouldn't change.

do an image search too. some on points have staggered rows near the center. all are interesting. Good luck.

The quick answer is NO.

Oh! it pays to re-read. Jan is right. no it wouldn't change anything if you added more blocks. i was thinking you were asking how to do that. Go for it!
