Default My first "mini" trunk show

Over the summer One of the guilds I belong to asked me if I would be interested in presenting a mini trunk show since I have a Longarm...I agreed...I presented on Wed evening...I was the third person to show my quilts...and the first two were fabulous....I am just a "regular" quilt maker....however it went well....guild members were so kind and complementary and they seemed to enjoy seeing my quilts...
an unexpected surprise at the end of the evening...I received a gift....

Don't undervalue yourself! I'm sure that your quilts are lovely. When I go to a national quilt show and see 'fabulous' quilts, I'm not really inspired. It's like going to a fine arts museum. Wonderful to look at, but not something I'm actually going to attempt at home. I really like looking at smaller shows with 'regular' quilts. Gets my creative juices flowing, because when I see something I like, I can make something similar.

Good for you for putting yourself (ie your quilts) out there....that takes nerve.....and obviously it went well. And i get what you're saying - but none of us are "regular".....we all shine with our own particular light.

Sounds like fun! I like looking at "regular" quilts more than the ones with so much quilting that they are stiff as a rug, so I'm sure your presentation was well received. I wish you lived here. I bet I would have enjoyed your mini trunk show! High five to you.
