At this point in my life I only work on things that I love - the size of my stash allows me to do that. I would finish someone else’s UFO if it was something that I liked and well done or was meaningful to someone I loved.

If it were me, I'd take the blocks apart and then cut tumbler blocks from them, adding in more fabric here and there to make it larger. A child would love it.

Yes, I would wash the fabric - probably after picking it apart.

From time to time I will get someone else's unfinished quilt tops and I usually finish them. I have one I will send out to the LA'er this week. Someone else's UFO is more likely to get finished than my own.
