Somewhere in the back of my head, I recall a relationship of sorts between Bernina, Bernette, and Eversewn. I don't think it was close however, and doesn't imply the quality product you've come to expect, but I hear a lot of good things for the Eversewns.

Also, don't give a lot of credence to negative reviews on-line. Especially on Amazon. Obviously coming from Amazon it's an online purchase, and a whole bunch of folks should just be buying machines online. They really need a dealer's help. They are also the first ones to post negative reviews the minute they figure out they can't make it work right. You know- blame someone else. It's not just sewing machines either.

Eversewn has the same corporate address as Bernina USA.

Bernette machines are a contract manufacture item and are not made by Bernina. I don't believe Bernette is in any way associated with or related to Eversewn.

My understanding is that there was bad blood of some kind within Bernina and some family and employees went out on their own and established Eversewn.

Eversewn was designed by one of the Bernina brothers that moved to the US for Brewster to be a sewing machine that could be sold by any shop or store that didn't have to be a dealer. A new way of marketing but not using the Bernina name.

I think there is a connection between Eversewn and Bernina. My Bernina dealer carries them and they don't ever carry non-Bernina brands.

I don't put a lot of thought into the reviews, many of the problems can be operator error, new sewers, etc. If you buy it from Amazon it can be returned if you don't like it.

Love my Eversewn 30. Started teaching my grandson to quilt on it yesterday. He made perfect seams with the 1/4 inch foot.

Thank you all. Just need to see if I can locate a 1/4 foot with a guide that is curved on the end like my Janome. Not like the brother foot or the one that comes with the Eversewn. The straight edge gets caught on stuff.

I use my Janome snap on feet with the Eversewn 30 so it probably will fit the QE. I have them all in one bin so it's impossible to tell what foot came with each machine except the Bernina feet. Snap on feet fit all the snap on machines, low shank fit low shank machines, high shank fits high shank, etc.
