You are so fortunate...for hitting the sale and getting a new LQS!! Around here we just keep losing stores that sell fabric with no replacements. Very sad! If I had the money to back it I would open a local quilt shop!

I was just wondering if Granny's Attic was closed or not. I took a class from there 20 years ago and it was the first quilt I ever made and learned so much from them. Their fabric selection was wonder. Sorry to hear they closed.

I've been to Patchwork Pig while on vacation - very sad to hear it is closing.

One of our LQS is closing, and we went there on Saturday-found a few good items-DH found a shelf for some of his stuff. I understand they had been around for 40 years.

We spend 3 months in Poinciana during the winter and I have been at Heartfelt Quilting and another quilt store not far from there, both in Winter Haven, and I like them both.

Is the nearby Strawberry Festival underway yet? You'd better get what you want when you can. If that news hits the strawberry tourists, you'll be swamped.
