I received $100 for my birthday and Sew Expo is coming up. I would like some recommendations about what to spend my money on. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Consider the Martelli Rotary Cutter. When the Expo comes I will be buying one for my DD and one for my grandson's wife.

If you cut batting, then you have to have the new Batting scissors. I didn't think I need them until I used them for the first time. You will never regret having them. I would by a spool of every quality brand thread to compare if you haven't used any of them before.

Yeah - I'd probably spend it on gorgeous fabric that I would usually talk myself out of buying

If it's your first time at Expo, take lots of the short classes. They are a good way to learn a little about a lot - and then you can decide which techniques, books, etc. you want to pursue further. Have fun!

A belated Happy Birthday to you. I would buy tools, rulers, rotary cutters and blades, and of course FABRIC! Can't have enough fabric. And one pattern. It would be difficult trying to decide which pattern, but I would persevere! Whatever you decide, enjoy!

I'm a gadget girl, so I would probably find some wonderful gadget that I couldn't live without. There are different techniquest that I would like to try, so I would probably buy something that would allow me to try a new technique.
