My batting is thin so the two layers together are fine and the quilt is not washed as frequently as a bed quilt would be. Nice job on both. I really like the waves on your backing.

I think that is a great idea! Your quilt is beautiful....and the back will be too. Don't worry about how the quilting will look on the back, just worry about the front. The back will end up looking just fine. And don't rule out SITD. That is how I quilt all of my Bargello quilts.
