I'm on a fabric diet, for the moment. I have so many UFOs (13) and after completing them, I probably have enough fabric for another 7-8 quilts. I am trying to make 2011 be "the year" I finish up as many UFOs as possible.

I am on a fabric diet.... and unfortunately I am substituting chocolate now for the fabric
I think I will just go to a "lean" diet, buy just a little here and there and let the chocolate go :D:D:D

I'm on a fabric diet, and have decided to make multiple trips to the bank (it's within walking distance from my office) each week even if it's to deposit a small amount like $4 or $6.50 into a savings account every time I don't buy fabric. Whatever I estimate that I didn't spend, I'm saving!

Quilter1943 - Sure you could do that. It's your quilt and you can do what you want :) Maybe a quilt as you go would work for you?

I don't like to use the word diet because it sounds so .... limiting and confining. So instead I'll say that I'm 'watching my fabric.' :-P Besides scrap quilts are soooo much fun to make.

I am on a fabric diet and since the beginning of the year I've made- 4 baby quilts and got creative with the backing, 2 valentine's applique door hangings, 1 tote bag and 2 more crazy quilt pieces that will be made into tote bags. The only purchases I've made are batting, 2 new sheets at Goodwill for backings and a couple patterns. I even have been to the LQS 4 times this month and bought no fabric. Unfortunately, my stash doesn't look like it's gone down at all.

    I agree with you.
This board has so many ideas and tutorials that we do not need more books.
