    Default Fabric Flexicon

Thank you for the fabric flexicon pattern. I have been trying to make the fabric flexicon but cannot seem to get diamonds to match up without a gap. Does anyone know how to piece diamonds so they match up without gap between?

Oh, I hope you get an answer. I was hoping to try this. I know the post said to sew the diamonds the way you sew diamonds...but I've never sewn diamonds together. I'm thinking it's like sewing on point and you do it in diagonal rows? I'd love to see where you get a gap so I can avoid that problem, lol. Hopefully the original poster will chime in here.

I've seen the pattern, and I know this isn't the way it's written, but you could do strip piecing of the diamonds by making two triangles for each half of the diamond. You can see the half diamond triangle at the end of the strip in the pattern.

Thank you for the help. I finished one but in order to connect bends found I had to zigzag across seam--very bulky looking--dont known if I will try again. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the help. I managed to finish one but found I had to zigzag seam joining the ends--made for a bulky joint--it is still enticing to rotate despite the flaws, however not sure will attempt another until I am able to join the diamonds better. Will try your suggestion. Thanks again.
