Now that I have an em machine I`m going to make my first label. What type of fabric do you use?
I have some 18 count adia left over from cstitch days can I use this with stablizer or would muslin be beter.
Also can you just cut alarger sq of fabric and iron to stablizer and just put stablizer in hoop other wise there is a lot of waist.
    Thanks Gale

I use whatever fabric that matches the quilt or whatever it is I made. I have used pretty much every stabelizer there is. When I run low or am out, I have resorted to coffee filters, which when ironed flat and pinned into place work great too!

I also use whatever matches the quilt, but I am stil learning on mine, so others will have better information on stablerizers than I .

I just use plain muslin, as I use iron on labels out of a book.

    FYI with the coffee filters.....
You can use either the white or natural color depending on the color of your fabric. Wouldn't want to use natural color on white.....hehe
It tears off pretty easy too.
I use them in a pinch.
Just make sure you PIN, PIN, PIN it in place.

I will usually use what matches the quilt. Or a good quality white on white or an ivory Kona cotton.
