I really need to do this.. too much stash and not enough time!

Although it's a good thing the moratorium ends November 1st..
The Houston International Quilt Festival's opening day to the public is November 3rd.
Seeing as I live in the Houston area...
you can bet your sweet fanny I'll be buying fabric...among other things! :D

I'm still hanging in there. I haven't bought any fabric this year, with the exception of the finishing kit from a fellow boardmember to finish a UFO, which I still haven't finished, but, atleast I have the fabric to do so. With the various online fabric stores having FABULOUS SALES on fat quarters and such, it is really hard. But...I continue to honour the Fabric Moratorium.

I have bought fabric for a Quilt of Valor. I have bought some fat quarters. I still get my 6 half yards every month. But I have started working on many of my UFO's. They still need to be quilted, but during June I made about 15 quilt tops. I even made 4 more tops from pieces laying around. I have 1 dog pillow finished waiting to go to the ASPCA & 1 that is 2/3 full of fabric scraps. Found more fabric I forgot I had. It feels good to get these things worked on, even better to get them finished. Hang in there, everyone.

There's too much going on in my life right now. I haven't touched the sewing machine for the past 2 weeks. I won't be tempted to buy because I have no desire to make anything. If things slow down within the next few weeks, I hope to get back to the sewing room and soothe my nerves.

Good Luck to everyone for July.

Has my quilting buddy been talking to you? After seeing my stash, she ordered me not to purchase any more fabric until I use what I have. I haven't been quilting that long so I didn't think my stash was that large, but maybe it is.

Anyway, I'm happy to say that I used only the fabric in my stash for my last two projects! And you know what? It's kind of a good feeling! :D

I bought some fabric yesterday. I was at a thrift store and found some good pieces. I got about 7 1/2 yards for a cost of 46 cents a yard. One piece was almost 3 yards. It has 6 repeats so I'm thinking a kaleidoscope fan quilt in the future.

I put myself on a fabric diet months ago. I make mostly charity quilts and have challanged myself to use my stash. So far, so good.

I finished a small quilt I had started who knows when. I even used fabric from my stash for the backing.

I finally had a month where I bought nothing. No fabric, books, patterns, notions, etc. It really helps to ask do I really need it. I appreciate all the help I've gotten here. Thanks all. Pat
