Our WM downsized the fabric dept. over a year ago and now all of sudden they don't have space for all that comes in. It is stuffed everywhere and the fabric wall is so stuffed you can hardly get the bolts pulled out without causing an avalanche of sorts. Now if they only had decent service.

We have a new Walmart Supercenter about 1-2 miles from my house. I used to love the Walmart crafting/fabric section because they always had cute stamp sets for about 1/2 of any place else, cricut supplies, markers, paper, etc. Also, I would peruse the fabric section from time to time and have made 4 of the quilt of the month quilts that were featured. However, with the new Walmart, they totally downsized the craft section and when inquiring about that, they said that all new Walmarts are doing away with fabric and focusing on electronics. So, my craft sections really SUCKS and there is barely enough fabric there to blow your nose on. Really disappointing.

Oh and also, I made friends with this really nice lady that worked in the fabric section and she inquired about my mom who was sick and dying at the time and I asked about her daughter who was going through breast cancer treatment. I helped her through it as I am a breast cancer survivor and she saw how healthy I was, so it gave her hope. I haven't seen her at the new Walmart, so I think she lost her job. There used to be a dedicated sales associate in the crafting section, and now it looks as blah as the canned food aisle.
