Fabric on sale but the reason is sad... what pattern would you use>
I received an email yesterday from one of the LQS with some sad news. The owner's husband has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer (age 52) and she is closing her shop to spend what time he has left by his side.
Fabric has been reduced (25% off) so I picked up some yardage in my favourite colour-ways.
I thought first of doing a D9P, but I think the colours are too similar. There are 6 one metre pieces and the red on the bottom is for the backing.
What pattern would you use?
Having trouble uploading picture. Will try in next post.

Very sad situation but glad owner has priorities right. Gorgeous fabrics! I have been on a D9P roll lately and have made several of them. What about doing the Falling Charms quilt that is on MSQS video? You can do search on this QB and see examples. That is the next quilt I'm going to make.

I was going to suggest Falling Charms also. Just made one, and it was fun, but the next one I make will be with 2" background strips to have less negative space on the quilt and to show off the fabric squares more.

Do you have enough for a wickedly easy quilt? Add white, turquoise and some more of the green and I think it would work fine. Or maybe add white and do a D4P. Sorry to hear of her reason for closing. I have never regretted quitting work for a similar personal reason. I wish her the best in this time of change.

That is very sad news, can you please tell me which shop as we always get to them when visiting. I used to love the one that was out on St. Mary's and really missed it.
Even just squares would be nice with that modern fabric with alot of whites.
