I am getting ready for a sale for all the fabric I will never use. I have kits, tools, ( I always go overboard when I get interested in something new) and tons of fabric. My question. I want to sell this, but I don't want to give it away. So I am priceing the material at 3.00 a yard, but taking some off for pieces larger than a yard, kits about 50% off and fat quarters 1.00.
Then I see on the internet that some shops are selling at 2.75. Do you think that I am over charging? Marilu-Mi

Your pricing should depend on whether it is quilt shop quality fabric or not. I would start with at least $3.00-$4.00 yd. if it is. You can always lower the price later if it does not sell.

Marilu, I think your prices are good. I sometimes don't buy on the board b/c the prices are too high. If a person doesn't want something they shouldn't expect others to pay what shops sell for. It doesn't make sense to me. You also have to figure in shipping and that's why I think prices should be reasonable.
Good luck! :)
