I know the wholesale price for Moda in our area is around $4.25 to $5.75 a yard. Batiks were higher. The shop only charges double compared to some of the other shops that are going for over $12 a yard. The shop I worked at quit buying Hoffman because freight charges were ridiculous.

Well, for one thing, you have to go to Kuwait to get it!

LOL, just emailed a soldier in Kuwait about this conversation. He said he'd look around but I told him not to bother, shipping would kill me unless he smuggled it out in his duffel bag!!

A good looking soldier can sweet talk a flight attendant to carry it home for him probably.

Oh my gosh, I am laughing at everyone of your suggestions. Nobody more creative than a quilter. LOL If there's a way to get our hands on fabrics, somebody will think of it.

When we traveled to Europe last April, we were limited to one suitcase each, with weight limits. And they were careful about carry-ons too.
