Lovely top! This sampler quilt is on my bucket list. I like the open swirls quilting idea. Please share a picture with us when its done too!

I did another one of hers similar to this one. I used an off white thread and just did all over swirls. I am not a fancy quilter and do not do pantos as I cannot get behind my machine. It turned out just fine and the thread almost disappeared into it.

Oh my goodness, that is gorgeous. Love the yellow. It makes the quilt look so light and airy!

Thank you to everyone for the ideas and positive comments. I am leaning toward the swirls. Thought I would start this a couple days ago but life got in the way. The original pattern has flying geese instead of the red border but I didn't piece the flying geese as my blocks were not all even and I thought it would give me more of a headache and not worth the struggle. The pieces in this quilt are so small that I am not sure I will ever tackle another like it but this was worth doing once. I also have to climb under my machine to get to the back for pantographs, luvstoquilt301, as there is a total of three inches from the table to the wall. Next house will have a designated area but for now I will not complain! Having a long arm is worth it to me - even in a small room! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!
