Default Great service

Just want to let folks know about the customer service I got from EQ. I bought EQ7 many years ago. Eventually the two computers I had it on crashed and I can't locate my information. I would like to upgrade to EQ8 so I emailed customer service yesterday. By 10 am this morning I had a reply with a download link and ID and password. Kudos to EQ!

I'm excited about the upgrade too--I just re-read one of the emails they sent and I think I'm reading it right when it says it won't over-ride the EQ7--so that means i'll have both? It says that all my projects for EQ7 will be on my EQ8--hoping that also means the MANY fabric manufacturers' fabrics I'm added to My Library!

I love companies like that. That's why I switched my embroidery software to Floriani, when I had reached my limit on license but had taken one of them off, I emailed them late at night and before morning I'd gotten an email saying they put the license back on and I could register my new device. I have always had good luck with them. Plus, they upgrade all of my different softwares for free, they have lots of free tutorials and free monthly design and project designs each month. My old software which I liked, would have cost me just about as much to upgrade as to buy it new, and they upgraded constantly making the last version obsolete. With floriani, I don't care how often the upgrade because it'll not cost me a cent plus there is no dongle to keep track of. Which if it broke or got lost, I'd have to pay for new software to get another one. I own EQ but just never got into using it to much, I liked the little I did

I'm curious what the EQ8 is. I googled it. Still a bit confused. Is it software that you would use to design quilts? Can anyone use it or do you have to have a particular machine? Thanks
