When we were on road trip we stopped at Historic Village Quilts in New Castle, Delaware. There was a basket of large civil war fat quarters for sale at $1 each. I bought 20.

When I got home, I emailed the shop to see if I could buy more. I sent a picture of the 20 fat quarters I had purchased, and said that and the owner, Christine Brooks-Corbett, could select more for me. I asked for $75 worth which would include postage. Today I got 66 fat quarters via priority with no duplication. All great.

I don't know if she still has fat quarters at $1, or if she has anything other than civil war prints, but you may want to send her an email to find out. It's [email protected].

The first 20 fat quarters (refolded by me)

There's a Kaffe Fassett quilt where Flower Garden hex blocks from the 30s are appliqued to Kaffe whole cloth. Maybe that's what I'll try.

I don't have much stash. I guess I do now. I'n refolding new FQs now ( so they fit into my spice cabinet drawers. )
