Hi
I am going with my quilting friend Janet, and we're going Wednesday afternoon so that we are there for opening on Thursday morning. We're also staying over Thursday night so we can have a more leisurely look around on the Friday, then back home Friday, late afternoon. And we only live 1 1/2 hours away! Any excuse......
Hope you have a brill time! :-)

I'm going Friday - I got a really cheap flight so I'm thrilled. I want to get plenty of fabric and there's a couple of tools I want.

Just a bit of advice if you are going Thursday and Friday - do your shopping on Thursday. My past experience has been that the merchants come stocked up on the Thursday but sell out of a lot of fabric and notions by the end of the first day. They send out for more stuff, but it doesn't arrive until Saturday, so Friday is always a bit bare. The best days for shopping are Thursday and Saturday.

I'd normally be going on the saturday. I went last year and really enjoyed it. Had a great system too - Boyfriend came and installed himself in the pub just next to FOQ (inside the NEC) for the day. I had someone to eat lunch with and to leave lots of shopping with, and he watched the Olympics, and didnt see how much I spent! I certainly didnt have a problem with vendors not having enough stock either!

This year I promised myself I wouldnt go since we're going to America on holiday in September anyway. Plan to take a spare bag there instead.

Nice to see so many people are going, just not on the day I'll be there! But I live not far from B'ham, and work in B'ham city centre, so if you're in the area and fancy meeting up then PM me!

:D
