I don't know how I have done without it. I'm a new quilter and didn't think I needed one. Boy, was I wrong. I love it.

I don't have one yet. Not sure where I would put it. I still have to use my living room floor.

I've never used one before. But I can see the advantages.

What type of design wall did you get? Did you make it or purchase one? I am to the point where I think I need one, but don't know what I need. Thanks.

I bought the Fons and Porter one. I got it at Joann's with a 50% coupon. I decided I couldn't buy the supplies to make on for the price.

Get one of those folding boards that you put on your table to pin on can't remember what they are called. And glue, tape, staple or whatever flannel, or batting onto it and then you can fold it up and stuff it in the closet or behind the door when not in use. Thats what I did. :)

They are a blessing. I use some type of felt to make mines on my spare bedroom wall. Fons and Porter has one, but a lit to expensive for me.

I hope you enjoy your wall as much as you can. I have one, but I have not used it yet. I probably will use it for my Rail Fence Quilt class. Yeah!! WoooHooo!! I actually made it myself. I went to JoAnn's (back in NY), and bought 2 yards of white felt. I folded over the top about 2 1/2 inches and stitched the casing. I went to Christmas Tree Shop (also in NY) and bought a black wrought iron looking curtain rod. I put the design wall on the rod and my DH hung it up for me. When the wall is not being used, I have it all rolled up and tied with 3 red ribbons (all I had on hand at the time.) It looks great.
