Finally got my Janome 8200
I've been saving up for over a year (the old fashioned way) for the machine of my dreams-- a Janome 8200 QC. I really didn't want to shell out 2 grand, though.
Since my 50th birthday is next week, I called my dealer to see the best she could do on price. She called Janome and they said they had a "repack" (used at quilt show or display) for $1399. I jumped on it and am so happy! I got to play with it a little at the store but plan to play a little more tomorrow before the big birthday party my kids are throwing.
Just had to share. It's really a satisfying feeling to save up with eagerness and then find out the object of your dreams costs a lot less than you expected!

Happy Birthday and congratulations on your special purchase. Now you will enjoy just playing with all of the stitches and having fun. I know what it is like to save a few dollars here and there to buy a dream present for myself-I so enjoy my Janome 6600. I bought it used but have it serviced every year and it hums so nicely and I love it. Well worth the time saving.
