I have an all blue quilt 80 x 100 that I just started stitching today. It sat for more than two years. I am so happy. It will take quite a while, even though it is just straight lines, but I am not in a rush.

Well done. I am reminded of the saying that a Journey of a Thousand Miles begins with just one step. You have just taken that first step.

That's a big one! Are you hand or machine quilting? I'm sending quilting vibes your way! Post some progress pictures, I always need quilting inspiration!

I am hand quilting. Nothing like the satisfaction from doing it yourself. I will post a pic in that section and the title will be "This is for Chele", but you all are welcome to see it.

That's awesome. I don't know about you, but my biggest problem is getting started. I think of excuses why I can't start or finish something. BUT, once I get started, I just go for it.

Taking that first step, wow, you are on your way. :D :D :D

Yay! I love hand quilting! You should come teach me! I'll cook for you and drop you off at Disney on the non-quilting days! I know it's going to be a beauty!

That is a BIG quilt. I envy hand quilters. I am just not good at it. Have fun with it. And post a picture of it for us to see.

Sounds like you have a nice winter project started :) I love to hand quilt a nice big quilt when it's cold and yucky outside.

Wow, some project, totally admire you ambition. I couldn't do it. Have no feelings in the tips of my fingers from burning them on hot plates for 20 some years. Can't feel the needle in my hand. So please post pics, love the look of hand quilting. A lot of time I feel like I'm cheating until I see the art work with thread and machine.
