Bottom Line is great thread just not as thin as silk. I use the silk for machine applique too with Bottom Line or InvisiFil in the bobbin. I am immune to sticker shock after having two kids in college at the same time. LOL

you can get a 'color card' from YLI, Superior Threads or most any other site that sells the silk thread. the pre-wound bobbins is a great way to get a good assortment of colors all at once.
