I have fire extinguishers in the kitchen and garage but never thought about putting one in my sewing room.
Good idea!

Just a quick note..Kidde recently had a recall of their fire extinquishers. When I checked mine, 4 had to be replaced (that included ones that replaced some from the previous recall) You can go to their website and check if yours is part of the recall. You need the model number, serial number and date of manufacture. They replace them for free and pay for the return shipping of the recalled ones.

great idea--we are in country and have volunteer fire dept--so an extinquisher is really smart.

What a timely post. It helped me realized we will not have fire extinguishers in our new house when moving in July because ours are provided by our landlord/employer.

Just fyi: Keep your fire extinguishers in plain sight so you remember to shake them regularly. Read the label---the contents have to be shaken up often in order for them to work. I need to buy new ones, but I used to keep one on the floor in the hallway, which would trigger my memory to shake it when I crawled past washing the floor, lol. They have expiration dates, too.

You may have just done a Public Service Announcement. I need to get one, as my X took the one I had years ago.
