Does anyone use the fiskers cutters? I have the 45 and the olfa 18. It seems to me that I go through more blade on the fiskers than I do on the olfa. Sometimes I use the small olfa more than the 45. It seems like I sometimes don't have to cut very much fabric and it seems to be dull already. Are the blades better for the olfa than the fiskers?
What is your opion? Or do I seem to be getting bad blades when I bbuy them?

I have used the fiskars for 5 years but recently bought an olfa. I love it! The fiskars has a problem with the screw coming loose after using only a few times. I constantly have to keep tightening it. I was afraid of cutting myself so I decided to try the olfa and it's wonderful. And I also bought a blade sharpener so I can reuse the dull blades. Both rotary cutters are the same size, 45.

I have had problems with the screw loosening also. I just keep checking it all the time while using it. One thing I have noticed when people use their cutters, is that they push their cut piece of fabric to the side after cutting, scraping it along the cutting mat. This will over time create flat spots on your blade. Then they wonder why it doesn't cut completely across next time. Also remember to close your cutter after each use. Even one drop on the floor (which I have done) will damage your BRAND NEW BLADE.

I have had a fiskars 45MM cutter for years and the screw never loosens on its own. Maybe yours is newer than mine and they made them differently. Blades last a long time. I resharpen blades also.
