Sometimes the clothing items are in great shape and have wonderful character. I will use a shirt like that to give a 3-D look and cut a whole block including the collar, buttoned areas, cuffs, etc. I have 2 blocks at the embroiderer now, waiting for her to do her thing....one block gets a chefs hat (departed brother-in-law was a wonderful cook) and the other is "In Loving Memory, Charlie 2013"....each one from the back of on of his shirts. Charlie was quite the character and I want his memory quilt to reflect his personality....a bit crazy and fun!

From 99-Quilters

I just wanted to say Thanks so much for each and everyone's input and tips or advice that I requested
for making a Memory Quilt for my friend. I believe I have all the information now that I will need to get started with
more confidence to get going on her memory quilts using her dearly departed husbands flannel shirts.

Thanks again to each and everyone who gave me what I needed to get the project done.

God Bless to one and all...and Have a great and wonderful quilting day.
