    Default Flower stitch foot

Someone mentioned the HSN show with the new Singer (looks like a featherweight) - I watched the video on my computer - they demonstrated this foot that looks like a circle that they called a "flower stitch foot" - I really liked the effect - is this new? I want to see if I can get one for my Sapphire 875Q - what a cute little flower effect - does any one have one of these feet? Does it work? Can't wait to see if it really works.

I have one that I used on my older domestic machine and it works well but only makes very small-about 1 inch- circles/flowers. You can make a few different designs with it. i think it will only work on the top, not after it's quilted unless you do QAYG.

Most older Singers had this foot included in the accessory package. All the old Singer manuals have instructions how to use it.

Nancy's Notions carries it. I don't think this new machine looks like a FW at all, though.

The flower-stitch foot will work on the sapphire. I ordered one about 4 years ago, from Australia. It works fine on my Designer I. Interesting effects with various special stitches, and with metallic thread. Be prepared to experiment .
