Help! My geese just don't fly! Don't know what I am doing wrong but I have a space where the two wings should meet.

Sorry, I am not computer literate either! The space is across the top where the two points meet or intersect in the middle-- they do not meet. I think I do not leave enough for the 1/4 inch seamto sew it to the next piece of material. Does that help?

Either you're cutting your squares too small or not lining them up with the ends of your "goose" right. They shouldn't just meet in the middle, they should overlap enough to leave a quarter inch between the point and the edge of the fabric. You have to sew on one, press then sew on the other. It will look like it's not going to come out right because one will overlap the other by about 3/4 of an inch on the edge.

No I think your blocks are right, you are supposed to have about 1/4 inch of fabric at the top of the point, so when you sew your geese to the next thing, that space gets in the seam and your points are not cut off, does that make sense? The point of the geese should NOT touch the top of the block ....

Here's an example (not mine)

That space at the top of the point will get taken up when it is sewn to the next thing, so the point will be on the seam, if the point was at the top of the block, when it got sewn together your geese would be flat topped.
