FMQ Foot Noisy
I have a Juki 2200 QVP Mini (equivalent of a TL 2010). I've started having problems doing FMQ on it because it's gotten really clattery. It made so much noise that it bothered me. I was afraid there was something wrong with the machine.. I oiled and cleaned and cleaned and oiled and it still made noise. I was using the open toe FMQ foot so I decided to try the closed toe one. When I put the closed toe foot on it no longer made the clattery noise. I was doing the online class, I'd purchased so I just used the closed toe foot. As I was working, I thought of something. When my machine gets noisy, I oil it where metal moves on metal. The foot is metal. Hmmmmm . . . before I went back to the dealer, I looked at the foot closely. It looked like it had some places where metal moved on metal. So I tried putting a drop of oil on a couple places on the foot. Put it back on the machine and tried it. No noise! It always makes me so happy when I can figure out the problem and find a solution on my own. Off to finish up today's class work . . .

Don’t you love a eureka moment! I had a squeaky walking foot and a tiny drop of oil on the ankle fixed it. I always first run the foot on scrap fabric to make sure I don’t get an oil stain on my quilt.
