Fmq?

Hi Everyone:
I bought a Singer Futura XL 400 and was wondering if anyone has one? Have you had any problems with it? Can you FMQ with it? So far, I've only done straight sewing on it.

If you can drop the feed dogs, then yes you can FMQ with it. Be patient, it takes lots of practice.

Dropping feed dogs is only part of the equation - at least in my experience. To clarify, I only have vintage Singer machines. Those machines with a vertical bobbin do well at FMQ as the bobbin thread feeds straight up towards the needle. Your mileage may vary.
