Default Quilt for Twin Baby Girls question

I will be working on 2 quilts, twin baby girls due in the fall. Do you make mirrored quilts, can they be totally different or maybe just the backing be same fabric-different colors? I will be using up stash but wouldn't mind going "shopping" for backing. Thank you for any help, forgot to mention, need to be fairly easy pattern. If you don't mind, post some pics please.

No pictures and I have not had a reason to make quilts for twins. I think I might use the same colors and maybe same fabrics, different patterns.

When I made quilts for twins I used the same pattern with the main fabrics in different places, the center block in each quilt had a Hello Kitty in a different color, and the backs were different one light pink and one dark pink.

I have twinkies and always liked something that coordinated, but wasn't exactly the same -- either same colors, different patterns or different colors, same pattern.....

For my own twin girls I used one pattern with pink scrappies and the same pattern with purple scrappies. I used the delectable mountains pattern by Bonnie Hunter.http://quiltville.com/delmts.shtml
I had mainly fat quarters for the twin's quilts and bought backing. I used a 1 yard piece for the border.

For my daughter's triplets I used the same pattern and the colors she picked for each baby girl, pink, yellow or green.
Triplet baby girls' quilts? Any ideas? For their quilts I used a center block with a son bonnet sue that was partially in the making. the little squares came from scraps some one gave me to help me make these quilts and border, binding and backing were bought so they could match.

For both the twins and triplets I used scrap patterns as it turned out to be too costly to buy all new fabrics, just the borders and or backing for multiple quilts became pricey. I made my own simple pattern for the triplets quilts.

first, there is no quilt police here, so you can do anything you want to do.
I did twins, the same design and similar but different fabrics.

For twins, I've done same fabrics, different patterns and backings. Also, same pattern with different color fabrics, and have done scrappy too. All were fun, but the scrappy ones were the most fun, choosing fabrics that give the kids lots to look at. (think I-spy type)
