    Default Folded coster pattern/tutorial??

I saw it here on the board a while back and thought it was cute, but I imagined it to be a bulky coaster so didn't pay too much attention. Then at my moms for Christmas, she'd been gifted a set, and was told they were wine glass coasters and the wine glass bottom actually fits IN the coaster. Now everyone wants me to make them some. I can't find the pattern now, and Im really hoping someone here can lead me to it!! Thanks!!

You can also lay the fabric out in squares, but draw and sew in a circle around and trim, and then the resulting coaster fits neatly on the bottom of a wine glass.

Check out weallsew.com and look at the pattern for Betty's Wine Glass Slipper/Coaster. I made several sets of these for friends who drink wine. You slip the base of the glass between the two strips. Because they are different colors, each person knows which glass is his/hers. I just got a circular attachment for my Bernina, and will probably try making some round ones.

Oh those are both great and so different!! Thanks SO much for posting!! I'll totally be doing them. I've never done a stack and whack so it seems a great introduction to it as well!!

I love these. They are just too cute. Thank you for asking about how to make them as them as I missed the original post.
