Okay, sorry if this has already been covered, but somehow I missed it. I fell in love with the folded Dahlia and have a friend who grows them professionally. So of course that was my excuse for making one - that and I just had to try it LOL. Anyway, I am well on my way with the folding and it suddenly occurred to me that I don't know what to do after I finish folding. Is this an applique? Please help. Thanks.

No, it's not an applique. People are finishing them differently. I have not finished mine yet but if you do a search for folded dahlia some of the posts have them finished.

Many, many years ago, my DM and I made these. We put them in emboidery hoops and made a ruffle on the outside of the hoop. They were beautiful hung on the wall.

I made a pillow out of mine and you can also make a tote with it on the front and back or just the front. I may do that one day or just as one poster had just posted about putting an embroidry hoop on it and applying a lace ruffle or a cloth ready made one on it and they are pretty. You can even make it larger and make a toilet seat cover with it or a tennis racket cover. The possabilities are endless. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

Thanks for your patience and your help. I hadn't seen any of the finished pieces, only the ones that were folded but not yet finished. I have now seen the finished product. Thanks again.
