Question French braid with star blocks

    Hi Quilters,

I saw a picture of a quilt that was done in "French Braid" however, in the braid middle it had star blocks. It was really cool (us oldies know what cool means).

Does anyone know where I can get a pattern for that or a book it was in. Thanks, Bevster

    bevster,
I did one years ago and you can just use any star block in the size square that you need. If I can't post my pic in this thread I'll start another!

Looks like star blocks made the size of the French braid and set on point and then the french braid to continue the strips.
Haven't seen the pattern but that's what it looks like to me. Hope this helps.

Same basic process as the table topper at www.quiltbug.com
You can do whatever you want in the square. I've seen some nice applique done too.
