Does anyone know where I can get a "free" pattern for the french rose? I have done some searching but can't find one. You ladies are great at finding things, so help me if you can. Much appreciated.

No, you won't find it for free, because it's still for sale at quilt shops and online.

Thanks all. I really like the fat cat pattern one and may use that instead. Again thanks.

I recently made a French Roses. The FatCat one is close. The French Roses pattern uses slightly more varied shaped flower layers so you really can get a variety of different looking roses. All in all the differences are not much. Good luck! Either pattern, the construction is the same...and it's somewhat time consuming, but easy to do.

I've seen the pattern in a quilt magazine, I think Fons and Porter. I'll have to look for it. How to make the pattern is free, the actual pattern is not.
