My best friend was just telling me this on Friday. Her mother-in-law loved to quilt so she decided to make a quilt for each of her children and their wives/husbands. There are 4 kids so she started with the oldest...but my friend and her hubby never got a quilt and he is 2nd in line. Anyway...she started Doris's quilt/the youngest...35 years ago. She sewed everything by hand. This woman is also an accomplished artist and has had her paintings on exhibit many places. So her husband said...Gerry you will be 90 years old till you finish Doris's quilt and I will be dead and gone. Well...he died about 8 years ago and the quilt was not finished. She is 94 now and JUST FINISHED the quilt in the spring. So friend's hubby said it took her 35 years to finish it. He said her eyesight is perfect and she JUST gave up driving last year.

    Amazing!!!!
