Yes!! With a pearl necklace and high heels! I would kill myself dressed like that! LOL! I'd probably trip up my heel in the iron cord or something! LOL!
Just got me thinking, I don't remember my mom dressed like that!! LOL! I could only imagine my feet killing me and getting threads all tied up in my necklace! I have to check my clothing for strings and thread as I leave the house as it is! Oh, the memories!

It's 3:09 pm. I am sitting here at my computer in my pj's, hair uncombed, face unwashed. Am I sick? No. Do I work nights? No. I've been hand quilting since this morning and am just now taking a break to check emails, etc. Do I feel guilty? NOT AT ALL!!!! Let me know if I need to work up some shame.

I almost fell off my chair laughing and my DH spit his coffee across the table  He knows that would never happen with me...as a matter of fact, when I started to learn how to quilt...I forgot how to clean the house, cook, dress myself...and the list goes on.... :D :D

In our house . . . DH has a motto (you've heard it) "A place for everything and everything in it's place." I have a motto: "Everything is someplace!"

I read DH the article. He said it was "sick" and feels sorry for women that had to live with those expectations.

No shame in staying up all night to work on a quilt project and no shame in a less than neatnick house, but let me tell you what just happened to me while I was trying to find info about Sue Haussman's PBS show on Saturday. Talk about SHAME -- There is a satelite t.v. repairman in the house working on my husband's t.v. so I'm staying out of the way by trying to find a product which was on her show last Saturday. Several web sites are available and there was one which asked if anyone had seen her show on Saturday. When I went into that site there was info about needing to download the latest and greatest version of a program, so I just want to cancel and get to another site. First of all the cancel option would not work, so I was trying everything I know to exit the site. Finally I did get to exit and up popped the most gosh awful porn and it would not let me exit. The repairman is in and out of the back door which is near the computer, I am looking for anything I can find to throw over the screen. Finally just before he walked in I got this stuff off the screen. When he enters the back door he has a big smile and says, "Good Morning". I am falling apart thinking that just seconds ago that big smile and greeting might have been a big gasp. Can you imagine???? Here is Papa and Nana, retired, and there is porn on the computer screen. No one would ever believe that Nana was trying to find anything concerning quilting.

I had one of those sites pop up on me while doing a search. UGH!
I'm sure the repair man got a big kick out of it if he actually saw it!

hmm I guess I'm in trouble... my favourite way to sew is in my flannel pj bottoms and tank top... hair pulled up in a hair band. and forget the makeup.. lipstick doesn't stick well when your mouth is stuffed with chocolate and a glass of red wine :P
