why do you need it to POOF?

you could SID the trellises and then micro stipple the floral area and that would make the trellises poof?

I don't get POOF...I like flat not fluffy..I got enough fluff me and the quilt...

It is just lovely and the trellis gives it definition.

A high loft poly will give fluff, and is not heavy. I think you might like it.

If that's the effect the she wants, then that's the effect she should do. Besides, I thought there were no rules in quilting?

Quilter's Dream Wool ( it's washable ) or Quilter's Dream Puff are wonderful for that. A little poof, warmth, and the quilting stands out beautifully.

    It is beautiful.

Wool and polyester give great loft and definition especially when quilting feathers. Cotton is flatter and doesn't give that definition but gets those wonderful crinkles to get that 1930's look.

I have already used cotten and put a really think scrim of polyester over it.

But my hands down favorite is wool. It is also comforable to use. In the scheme of things you will spend about $10 more for a wool batting, not that much considering the total cost of a quilt

I have the pattern for the anniversary quilt that uses the same fabric, but I must confess that I like the garden twist pattern a little better. I wonder if I have enough fabric to make this one instead? Hmmmm. I bought all my tabs at the LQs they had a top on display in the garden Ann. Pattern. I really like the trellis effect and I love yours. The green really pops. You've gotten a lot of good quilting suggestions here.
