Your quilt is going to be beautiful. Yellow is my favorite color and I think yellow would make a great accent.

It is a gorgeous quilt!! I'd do an inner narrow border of light blue and a wider border and binding from the darkest blue. Can't wait to see it finished.

I knew you would like it if you carried on. The yellow is so startling to your usual tastes of purple and blue, I think it took you aback. The quilt is coming along quite nicely.

Good morning, I love the quilt and the colors. If it was me my first border would be one of the yellows and the next two borders would be blue. I would start with one of the lighter blues and end up with a darker blue. Good luck and hope all works out for you.

You are so right...and you have a good memory, knowing that I really lean towards purple or blue. The yellow is still startling, but I am getting used to it. But, you know, I should have realized that yellow is yellow, right?

I think your quilt really needs these range of yellows: without the brighter, it would be dull, without the paler, it would be too harsh...
As for the border... I would consider a rather small strip of one of the darker blues (not the darkest, may be the third one) inside, an even smaller strip of one of the paler yellows (again, not the palest, maybe the second), and a wide strip of the same blue on the outside... Or eventually middle blue, than a pale yellow, and then a darker blue.

I love your quilt. Where were you thinking of as it's resting/living space? That might help you with your border choices.

Beautiful quilt! The yellow and blue really "pop" as colors. I'm glad you decided to keep them.
