I've used this seam ripper for over 25 years now. It's never gone dull & I've even used it to cut leather seams apart many times.

I have the Gingher seam ripper and rarely use it. I just don't care for the way it operates. It also only works for seam ripping, not well at all for unpicking stitches like other seam rippers, sharp pointed scissors, or some surgical tools can do.
