Just want to let everyone know that yes there are still good people out there. I haven't been close to any of my mother's family for years due to long history of problems, but recently visited with mom's only surviving sister. We talked about different things including my sewing, health and treadle sewing machines. Last week out of the blue she made a dream come true when she dropped a gift off at my brother's house--Singer model 66 Red eye treadle machine that she hunted up for me.

That's wonderful! I hope it's the start of healing for past hurts and loss. Maybe you can make her a small sewn gift as thanks.

So happy for you. I understand the issues that can happen in families. There was a time that part of my family did not talk with each other. It has been resolved, but I still feel there is some tension there, just that they work on it so the communication lines stay open. As for your gift, I am so jealous in a good way. I wish someone would drop off one for me. It is a wonderful gift and enjoy it for years to come.

We have had a lot of heartache in ournfamily as well. This seems like her way of throwing in a olive branch.. She must have missed you.

Oh, so sweet of your Aunt. And, how sweet the Redeye is too. Bless you. Many happy hours creating and sewing to you. :-D

How very nice of your Aunt, and equally nice that you are so thankful for the gift.
