Also why not have block of the month using one of the web sites mentioned ... ?? I have a question for you ... since you are in Ireland do you have alot quilt shops there?
I love hearing about other countries and their quilters and what they are doing...what type of quilting they like? Piecing or applique? hand or machine quilting? What are the trends there?
Have fun at your meeting and please let all the Irish quilters know they have fellow quilters around the world !!

Of course I am going to be telling the group about this forum!!!

Also - if you mention a shop, could you please take a moment to look at their site ansd see if they will ship to Ireland? It would be a shame if we got loads of great ideas and then couldn't use them!!! I would check myself but I have very poor internet here up inthe hills of Ireland and you may well do it a lot faster than I can!!!

Thanks so much in anticipation of some interesting responces!!
My favorite site is www.webfabrics.com and they do ship to Ireland......email, phone or fax orders....all fabric is excellent quality........check out her website.

I use internet sites all the time now. There are so many free patterns out there, so I can save money to use to add to my stash. I like www.quilterscache.com, McCalls mag has a site, about-quilting.com., fabric companies like Hoffman and many others have free patterns on their sites showcasing their lines of fabrics. I also find a lot of patterns on stained glass sites since I like to do art quilts. I also use free coloring pages for applique patterns for childrens quilts.

I like the tutorials of The Missouri Star Quilt Company
But cannot figure out how to ask if they ship to Ireland.
Sorry
Maybe if you try to go to their site and order. When you try to get it shipped they will tell you yes or no. I believe you can back out before the order is completed.
