Default Glide thread help please

After reading the wonderful reviews on Glide thread, I finally bought and have used it. The reviews were spot on. It is wonderful. Now I'm trying to figure out how to tie it off at start and finish. Because it is somewhat slippery my usual method of tiny stitches pulls out. What is the trick to this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help. This group always comes through.

Some colors are much more slippery than others! And yes I have had that problem. So I always try to end my stitching in the ditch or in an area where the thread build up won't be to obvious and I do the dreaded backtrack with tiny stitches, usually 3 to 4 stitches backtracked over itself does the trick. For show quilts, some judges will take off points for it if they can find it on the back where the buildup is more obvious. But I had a friend who buried every single start and stop and the judge cited starts and stops so you can't win either way with some judges. For non show quilts it isn't an issue and hard to find the starts and stops. Your only other option is when you stop a line of quilting, bring bottom thread to the top, leave a long tail and invest in some spiral eye needles (or other self threading needles) and knot and bury.

Thanks. At least I feel better about needing to do the old backtrack thing.

Leave long ends and take a needle and bury it in the quilt then tie it off Works for me. I Love Glide thread and they just had a great sale on it not too long ago.
