Yesterday our Moda sales rep stopped by... and she had some good news to share.

Moda has decided NOT to raise their prices. (At least, not right now.)

Woo-hoo!

While all the other companies have raised their prices from 35 - 50 cents / yard this year (with no end in sight) Moda raised the prices of their marbles 25 cents, and all the other (new) groups just 10 cents / yard for all of 2010.

Thought you all might like to know!

Apparently Moda's thought is that what goes up must come down, and so they're betting that the cost of cotton will eventually decline. The rep said also that Moda's been working with the same mill(s) for so long that they have "a good relationship" with them; perhaps that relationship means that the mill's not hiking their prices greedily.

Anyway... it works for all of us, doesn't it?

That is great news . Will the base fabric remain the same? I have noticed some of the top companies have less cotton per inch/yd in some of the lines.
