ADK is located in an old mill, along with several other art studios and a great Tea shop. Be prepared to climb stairs to the 2nd floor shop. I like Heirloom Sewing also, and there's a lot of machine embroidery supplies as well. You can find good quality fabric bargains at the JoAnns in Queensbury- bring your coupons.

When are you going? If it's next weekend (October 15 and 16), the Empire Quilt Fest is in Clifton Park, NY at Shenedehowa High School East. I can't call it close to Gore Mountain, but depending on where you're coming from it could be on the way.
We have over 200 quilts, lots of vendors, and food. What more could a quilter ask for? And Adirondack Quilts is one of the vendors, by the way. www.empirequiltfest.org

To be honest nycquilter I would rather be hiking, kayaking, foliage watching, eating, etc....but with dh selling at the craft show at Gore Mtns craft show I would be alone. Don't know the area so I won't do those things.
So guess I will be off visiting quilt shops at least on Saturday...

wow, Gore Mtn craft show??? maybe that can be on my list. I'll bring my goddaughter who loves crafting with me. She's 9 and finished her first quilt already--it was double bed size. She just couldn't turn down any fabric in my stash that she liked. what is your hubby selling?

I don't know if the road is still open for the season, but there is a fabulous drive to the top of Prospect Mountain overlooking the Lake George area. There is also a hiking trail there for your next visit.
