what a wonderful husband! Not only did he give you something that was lasting he took you to pick them out yourself and waited for you to do so. I bet that made you feel really special.
My sweet husband did extra good this year also. I recycle everything and I like an occasional glass of wine. So when the bottle is empty I soak the label off and put it the paper recycle and the bottle goes in the glass recycle. When I wasn't at home he found the label in the paper recycle and took it with him and bought me 3 bottles of the wine. Also my Beta fish died a week before valentines (4 years old) and he bought me another one of them. When I got up Valentines morning the 3 bottles of wine were on the kitchen counter (next to the coffee pot)with a card proped in front of them and when I picked the card up I saw the fish in it's little container behind the card. I was in shock.. :D and I told him that too. He said well you better sit down for the next part. He had run the water the day before for the fish so it would be all ready for me to fix the fish up in his new home. We have a water softner and you have to run the regular water for the fish from a bypass faucett and you only get about 1/2 gal at a time. I have never know him to think things out this far. What a wonderful surprise for me :!:   :D

I hate to burst your bubble but....I went for a haircut & my DH always goes with me. Wanted to stop in at the quilt shop across the street to look at their "sale" fabric. Walked out with a Quattro 6000D instead! All with his blessings! he said "as long as you're happy. It's only money!!! Top that! WOW! I've kept him for 23 years & certainly not letting go now!!!  (In case you don't know, It's Brother's latest & greatest embroidery/sewing/craft/quilting machine!) I hate to brag but I'm so excited, I had to tell! I'm almost 70 yrs old. & none of my daughters sew. One son does, though, maybe he'll get it when I die??? haha!

I didn't get a card, but a verbal Happy Valentine's wish from my DH, which is OK, because he does other little things that speak volumes! For instance, he appologized for not getting me anything for Christmas (he really didn't purchase anything!), but I told him he had been giving me the BEST gift during close to three weeks of our coldest Minnesota weather by taking me to and coming to get me from work, which is a forty mile round trip! Yup, another keeper!

I had pretty special treatment for V. Day. He drove a little further than usual for dinner. We went to one of my favorite night-time restaurants and had the best Grilled Tilapia with lump crabmeat and pecans.
